having a large lump of pork for the sunday dinner real pork from blythburgh farm.left to roam in the woods over the winter to eat anything that took thier fancy .well im doing it in cider so i havent any home made srumpy left %hic % so i ahd to shop for some well morrisons being the closest i popped up there  ( 5 mins away ) and i found a bottle ,just grabbed the nearest bottles of the shelves .no name to worry about after all im gonna dump it after im donen . well i tel ya folks i had to have a " kieth " n taste it .welllll ya cant just go throwing anything at pork can ya ? well ist blooming nice .oh who's is it  well its kingstone press  from aston manor brewery company in thimblemill lane birmingham ..

oh this recipe ,,, bottle sweet cider lump pork pressure cook it for 10 mins on full .let it cool in the pan dont take the lid off . leave till cold pour cider away .put meat on a bed of aluminum foil and add 4 chopped up sweet apples ( 1/8th wedges ) pour half bottle maple syrup over the lot and rub some brown natural sugar  on the skin ,sprinkle a bit around the apples .close foil up cook on low
( 100 c)for 3 hours . open the foil for the last half hour  and allow to crisp the skin .spoon juices over the meat . prepare vegies  cook n allow pork to rest for 10 mins .... the sugar etc will be very very hot so dont burn yaself . eat drink and .well ya know the rest  :wink:

Cor, yum munty.  Might try that with some bone-in belly pork.  Maple syrup is one of my favourites.

wrap the apple in the middle .belly tends to dry out quickly so close the foil well until ur ready to crisp the skin ,,,,,,,,,, do not use any salt on it

incidentlly ice ././ it was yummmmmy /and nice in sandwiches cold , gonna do thia wraps the morrows with pepers toms mushroom peppers  etc
