our tulips are coming to an end now how do you keep them over for next year i guess you let them die back much the same as you do with the dafs is that rite?

all our tulips and Dafs have been grew  in tubs and troughs so  is there any thing ells  you should do to tulip bulbs  after they have dried out should you remove the bulbs and store in the shed in boxes till its time to replant in the autumn and can you plant them back in tubs and troughs or do you need to buy fresh tulip  bulbs

Keep watering them and give them a bit of fertiliser to build up the bulbs ready for next year. Once they die down naturally, knock them out and store in a cool dark place ready to replant in Oct/Nov. Did that with mine last year that were in pots and replanted at allotment where they all flowered again. You can also plant any little bulblets that have appeared and grow them on to produce more flowering bulbs in a few years.

Also nip off the dead flower heads behind the seed pod, like you do with daffs, so that the energy in the flower stem goes back into the bulb rather than seeds.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
