Went to check on the chooks when I got home and noticed that Harriet has dirty feathers from her bum right down to her legs. Upon further investigation, gently pinning her down and lifting up her tail feathers, it seems that she is 'weeping' poo (if that makes sense). They've all been wormed but maybe a little overdue for their next dose.

She seems fine, eating drinking and laying... any ideas?

Will bump this up as I have just got home and found same thing. Think i might give her a bath as its warm. She has had no greens for a few days

if they are free ranging they could eat too many greens.

Honey now has a lovely clean bum. I can't believe how still she stayed during her bath, then she stood still whilst I gave her a blow dry.

If you dont already add some Cider Apple Vinegar to their water, I always use it and my girls usually have nice clean bums 
5ml to each 1ltr of water!

Do you use ACV  everyday? I use it for one week per month  and garlic the rest of the time..

Well, since discovered it's prolapse... went to the chemist and got some germaloid.

Me: "I'd like some haemorrhoid cream please" The place was packed and I got sideways   glances
Chemist: "Certainly, is it for an adult?"
Me: "No it's for a chicken"

It brightened up their day anyway... stunned silence followed by sniggers. Now to dig out the marigolds and run the bath (sink).

I alternate, I fill the water container with diluted CAV and the next time it needs filling I use plain water. I put garlic in the feed.

Hmm, Mr Diddy and I bathed Harriet, blow dried her and I put some germoloid on the prolapse and pushed it back in. It kept coming back out but I figure the more I do this with the germaloid the more it shrinks?

However, she now looks more distressed now that I've done this. She's standing in the run, almost sleeping while she's standing up. Before she was scratching etc. Should I just keep an eye on her and keep on applying the germaloid and pushing her 'bits' back in daily?
