Moulting (Black Rocks)

Hi

I have 4 girls a Bluebell an Amber and 2 Black rocks.

They all started moulting a couple of months ago and my Bluebell and Amber are still a bit scruffy.  My Rocks on the other hand are still very bald round their back end and they don't seem to be growing new feathers.  There was a bit of pecking from the Bluebell but we have been spraying with anti-peck and seems to have stopped.

Should I be worried?

I am still getting 3 to 4 very good eggs a day and apart from being very bald they seem to be fine.  They are fed a good variety of food including a poultry spice supplement and all eat well.

you could try giving them some extra protein to help them grow their feathers back, a little cat food for instance.

They do eat better than me already and they seem fine just naked, but I will try the Cat food option as a weekly treat.
