white flakes on coop floor

does anyone know if chickens shed the scales on their legs when they moult? keep finding white flaky bits on the coop floor but all my girls seem to be in good healthy condition.

hi there! i find these too - look like dandruff- i always presumed it was from the feather shafts?

When birds grow new feathers they emerge curled up in waxy coating which flakes off as the feather opens up....welll that's what happens with my parrot anyway so i am presuming that this is what you are seeing

yeah they're all moulting to some degree. Sounds like this is normal... (fingers crossed) Thanks for your advice guys!!!
