Title: Hillfooters Slurry
Post by: ---Snakey--- on October 09, 2010, 21:22
Sorry I can't PM you Hillfooter but I just wanted to know your quantities for your slurry, I've ordered some DE powder and the Vanodine V18. I appreciate it may be a trivia request but I don't want to get it wrong

Thanks in anticipation

Nick

Snakey, This should be left for Hillfooter, but maybe he's away hence the no-reply-yet so I'm going to be rude enough to say how we do it because maybe you need to take advantage of this week's dry weather.
Put two litres of water into a two gallon bucket. add a good squirt of washing up liquid. Slowly start to stir in the contents of a two kilogram bag of diatomaceous earth until it is a thick cream consistency. Add more water as necessary and use all the bag. You should end up with half a bucket of what looks like nasty grey looking masonry paint. Big brush and paint on. It dries to a light sandy colour. This seems to cover 4 square metres or more. HTH
