came down this morning to find 2 stray ferrets had killed 17 chooks outright severly hurt another 11.which i had to finish off.leaving me with no bantams chicks and adults gone .and some summers dead.plus 2 ffffff NOW dead ferrets ,i have just advertised them as found in tHe village paper shop and intend to find out who owned them, not that there is much i can do about it but f angry isnt the word for it ,if i had left them open there would have been more survivors buit i locked them up for the first time since spring a small hole giving the ferrets access,, oh well i suppose i had been lucky for 2 long with no damage or anything ,my ferrets are secure in thier cages ,shame these others was not well locked up (http://bestsmileys.com/violent/7.gif)

Really sorry to read that, absolutely awful. I don't know anything about ferrets - except they look cute - but I didn't realise they would do that.
Losing to a fox is bad but losing to someone's pet must be worse because there's no need.
Sorry chum.
-
ferrets are same as mink stoats etc mate kill for no reason they dont even eat anything other than the neck and brains out of them
-
I knew stoats were bad (I listen to the Archers!!)
Are you sure the ferrets belong to someone? not wild.
-
to fat to be wild mate . very fit ones doubt thye have been free long
-
Suppose it's similar to those idiots who shame dog owners by letting them run wild. Having been attacked by an alsation whose stupid owner decided it was fine to let run out into his drive, I lack sympathy for them.
You can't blame animals for being animals but you can sure blame the owners.

well im just waiting for the owner to turn up
ask the name then they wil ask for the ferrets back and i will then show them the 28 dead chickens and then tell them they want the ferrets its gonna cost them £56 to get them back ,then i will give them back ..dead .
-
What a terrible thing to happen muntjac  It must have been a horrible sight to get up to and then to have you kill so many of your own birds
There is nothing I can add and I hope you find the owner and give them a bit or your mind :!:
-
If muntjac gives them too much of his mind, then I suppose he'll be posting from HM Prison - TANJ (There Aint No Justice)
-

Put an advert up in local shops "Found 2 Ferrets, call 123", when owner turns up and positively ID's them (in fron of a witness) ask for his insurance details to claim from. 17 * £12 = £204

So sorry to hear about your chooks muntjac.
Stupid thoughtles people like that don't deserve to keep pets if they can't look after them. Though goodness knows why people want to keep ferrets anyway is beyond me!!!
Okay, I KNOW you've got ferrets as well!!!!!! lol But what do you do with them??? Apart from putting them down peoples trouser legs????? Do you catch rabbits with them???????
