Title: Real seed collection
Post by: Grubbypaws on March 31, 2012, 17:47
Has anyone used the The Real Seed Collection Ltd? Are they OK? I have just found their site and they have some interesting seeds.

Real seeds provide good seeds at a reasonable price, their 'Amish paste' is our favourite tomato. :)

I have bought quite a few of their seeds and they give you instructions on how to save your own seed so you don't have to buy it from them again, which is a wonderful philosophy as gradually the 'offspring' will (hopefully) acclimatise to your local growing conditions.
They also seem to promote only things that they have tested and found to do well and are the only company I know of that have discounted postage if you are on a low income.
I could probably buy some of the same type of seed cheaper elsewhere but I figure it's a bit of give and take and the germination rates have been excellent for the stuff I've started so far (peas, oca, peppers).  :)

I have purchased almost all my seeds for this year from them, previous experiences have been good and I would highly recommend them.  Like previously mentioned, you might pay a little more for the odd thing here and there compared to some other sites.  But to me it is worth it and I don't mind if it helps support what they do.
