Title: Help identify.
Post by: Johns Bants on April 19, 2017, 19:45
Can anyone  let me know the breed of this bird. I think it might be a Barbu d'Anvers  or  Barbu de Watermael .
Thanks.

I have a barbu d'Anver and she has a pekin type tail rather than the erect one the other type has. She is also thinking about brooding again this year so will be put in the debrooder. Very nice egg, all yolk and not much white.

Have you got a piccy of her tail?

Having one of those days...Sooty is a Scots Dumpy!!!!, but did have a d'Anver cockerel, Rusty, as his crow suited him. He looked like your grey one, which also looks like a cockerel. Rustry started crowing a bit later I think, but was cockerel aggressive. He was rehomed.
