hi i finding it hard to keep rubarb i get one small crop then its just dies back and does not come back
home grown is best

leave it to grow for 12 months mate
feed the soil not the plants

dig it up rtransplant it to a higher spot in the garden .put loads well rotted manure under it .replant bring the soil back to the crown ...dont cover it .... water it well and then put more manure around the crown .but not on it ... water once a week unless it rains .it will come back and dont crop it this year next year it will be grand  :wink:

When you pull the rhubarb only take one stalk from each crown (maybe two if it's a big crown, perhaps you are over cropping it.  Make sure it gets lots of water.  :D

how big was the crown you got, and where did you get it from?
