Great book for lottie holders and others

It's called "Preserved" by Nick Sandler and Johnny Acton, with a foreword by Hugh F-W, and is all about preserving food.

It has sections on drying, salting, smoking, sausages, pickling, herbs, pastes, infused oils & vingars, fermenting, sugar, alcohol, bottling, canning and freezing.

Plus some great recipes!

No, sorry. I was at my SIL's house, and she thought I might find it interesting. I'm afraid I raved so much about it she took it away and said I might be getting it for Christmas... So access was a bit limited!

But there were so many ways to deal with the gluts that lottie holders get, and there as a great recipe for home-made tomato ketchup. Also hot and cold smoking, and how to make smoke boxes, and smoking salmon etc. Pickled shallots etc.

Sounds lush, mind. And jolly well hope it's good.

I'm just asking for personal experience, as I tried some recipes that never b****y worked, printed and all.

You try them this year for us, please.
