Why are some of my rasberries very small, well when  i say small i mean they have only a few segments if thats the right word anyway, only a few bulbs to each berry, these canes have been moved alot earlier in the year, some of the other canes have produced some loverly fruit, does anyone have any ideas, i only started growing this year,and need all the help i can get  :wub: many thanks

Did you feed the plants in the winter/spring? -  I find a good top dressing of manure does the trick.

yes i did that, but still odd little rasberries, should i dig them out and start again???

I've just read your first post again, (I must try and read these posts) ::) and you say that you've just moved them earlier this year? That's probably why they are not producing much fruit, as they are concentrating establishing roots. I'd leave them be, and give 'em a good feed again next spring. That should do it. Good luck. :)

I've got some of them types of berries and I know exactly what you mean, maybe like strawberries its where they have not pollinated properly.  I also have good berries so I'm not worried.  I would leave them be as well.
