No! I had the most lovely, thoughtful and brilliant gifts I could ever wish for which surpassed any amount of money from whatever source.

Had my eye on an Instant pot for £109 then saw boxing day special for £95 so ordered it and had delivery today. A;; done within the comfort of my home.

I find that the clothes that I like never come up in the sales as they have usually sold out. Also washing machines don't break down when the sales are on. That said I do keep an eye on retail outlets that get rid of end of lines.

But often I look at the sales and think that there are any number of things that really weren't ever going to sell anyway. Just before BHS went into administration, old stock was coming out for sale and the assistants said they were regurgitating from out the back 3 year old stock. And muttered about stuff that was never going to sell the first time around.
