I'm growing a selection of chilli plants (cayenne, birdseye, devil red and naga) - all indoors on the kitchen windowsill at the moment. The cayenne plants have quite a lot of flowers and a couple of chillies. However, the chillies are very long and very knobbly - not smooth and straight... is this normal??

I think perhaps they start off like that and then start to get long and slender, thinking of the cayenne here :) If they are free of pests and are not pot bound I think they should be fine. Some of my Elephant's Trunks look nobbly and uneven but I think it's just a characteristic rather than a problem. A photo might help :)

mine are sposed to be long and pointy, and ATM they are just knobbly mishapen blobs  I'm sure they will sort themselves out though ;)

Initially hought I'd just leave them and see how they did, but then decided to check the pots "just in case". Definitely a bit pot bound, now repotted and doing splendidly - thanks for the help!
