Farewell Willow

John:
Just got back from the vet.
Last week she's been a bit out of sorts and yesterday started bleeding from her whotsit. I thought a UTI but the vet said she didn't seem to have an infection, just an inflamed bladder. Gave her a jab that she thought would sort it but today she was losing a lot of blood.
Still alert and agile but obviously distressed. I may have just gone over the speed limit getting her back to the vet.
They did a scan and she had a large mass in her bladder affecting her urethra and bowel. After discussing options we said goodbye. She went in my arms thinking we were going home, which we were in a sense.

We'll bury her in the family cat cemetery under the tall trees

She's less than a year old in the photo below from 2009 but looked just the same today.

So we have four cats now...

Yorkie:
Oh my heart goes out to you and the family, John x

snowdrops:
Oh my condolences to you all, but you did the kindest thing. Letting them go is tough

Growster...:
You buy in to lovely animals like her, and despair when they leave, John!

Know how you feel, so chin up and remember the good times...

New shoot:
It was the kindest thing to do, but that doesn’t always help how you feel about it.

I am sure she had a wonderful life and it sounds like a peaceful and reassuring end.  That is something every cat would wish for x
