Title: RIP my little OAP Rescue Girlie
Post by: Caralou on January 08, 2012, 13:04
One of my little oap hens, Purple (Dolly), has passed away this morning. Considering she was "spent" by the farmer over three years ago I think that is a pretty good innings all in all! Her two sisters (one rescue & one pol who arrived at the same time) are both still well are even laying. Just awaiting the re-ordering now as she was my top hen, very cheeky and loved to cluck for treats at the gate every day. The others are all getting a nice warm mash now as a treat  :)

You did really well with her - that was a good innings  :)

Sounds like her sisters are also reaping the benefits of your care  :)

:(  Sad news but such a loving home for her to have experienced. RIP Dolly.
