Edible weeds
« on: August 14, 2012, 21:55 »
I have tons of chickweed and fat hen growing in between my crops. I've realised they are both not only edible, but really delicious, nutritious and versatile!
(I was gonna post a picture but can't figure out how - you can google it though ;-))
Any other edible weeds you know of?
Gardening requires lots of water - most of it in the form of perspiration. :-)

dead nettles, bitter cress, sorrell, not a weed but  campanulas are good in salad.

pfaf is a good wedsite for lesser known edibles.

A few more are

Stinging nettles, violets (not that I call them a weed really!), wild garlic and of course brambles....
Very often quite lost- would be more lost if I could work out where I was!- But always find my way home.....
