Title: Dog-friendly hotels near Birmingham
Post by: AlaninCarlisle on January 12, 2013, 10:38
My wife with one of our dogs has won through to Crufts at the NEC. It will necessitate an overnight stay. As we don't want to leave two dogs in a car overnight, does anyone know of of a hotel or motel that allows dogs in the bedrooms?

Thanks for your help. They are now booked into a very swish golf and country club hotel about ten minutes away from NEC. Meanwhile I'm stuck here on mucking-out duties  :(. They'd better come back with a trophy

for future shows it is worth remembering that Travelodge and Ramada Encores are also dog friendly  :).
Good luck at crufts - what class and breed?

It's the National Finals of the Obedience competition. They are classed as Pre-Beginners. The dog is a rescue collie X as is the companion dog travelling with them

how wonderful, having 3 dogs myself (2 were born in a rescue centre) it is lovely to hear of other rescues doing so well  :)
Why not do a post all about it afterwards including photos  :)

Well done on finding a hotel - I stayed at a Days Inn at one of the service stations near Birmingham, about 15 mins from the NEC - they said they took dogs, no extra charge  :).  It might be the Corby Services.
