Feeding ducks
« on: July 06, 2010, 16:41 »
Hi everyone, my ducklings are coming up for 7 weeks old now. Upto now they have had free access to food and water and they have grown brilliantly! I have 2 aylesburys and the rest are a mix of runners and magpies. My questions is : do I give them free access to food and water their whole lives or should they have 'meal times' ? They will be outside in a coop but not free range ( impossible where I live coz of fox and mink) so no other access to food except from me
thanks for any advice,

The khaki's, aylesburys & geese have food down constantly. Layers, wheat & clean water (which they dirty pretty quickly  ::)) . They just eat when they want, except at bedtime.
