what to grow in plot after potatoes

hi any ideas what i could grow in my plot that i had potatoes in this year its quite a large plot about 50 yards by 15 yards is there anything i could put in over the winter or in the spring thanks

Personally I follow potatoes with garlic and onions.

I read that legumes were good cause they fix the nitrogen in the soil. I would guess something that likes slightly more acidic soil though, assuming you manured well before planting the spuds.

You could try sowing some broad beans in afew weeks (bit early now) as legumes folow potatoes on the four year rotation plan already given above.

(The one I use  ;) )

I am not trying early BB's this year after last year's disasters, so have already dug in compost etc for the runners next year and covered the ebd with black plastic, weighted with planks.
