I have eaten them.  They don't taste of anything much - which is why I have not tried to grow them!.  Any that are lying around outside now will have been severely frosted and are rotting.

They are quite easy to grow. The taste possibly depends on which variety you grow. I grew Hasta la Pasta which is a good colour and semi-sweet. I have tried it with sweet and sour sauce, or cheese which are quite tasty. It also stores well as mine are still good.

Try putting "Spaghetti Squash Seed" into Google.

Here's one result:

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I grew a variety last summer, with yellow skin, it looked more like a melon.

These were delicious: chopped into 1-2'' chunks, splash with olive oil, a little salt and pepper, then bake for 35-40 minutes on Gas 7. Then sprinkle on some blue cheese (or any cheese you fancy) with some pecan nuts and bake for another 10 on a low heat...I sometimes add a little chopped red chilli too...

This is also a great way to cook and eat any squash..

Enjoy

Tony

The idea is that you cook them halved or whole, then use a fork to remove the inside which comes out in threads like spaghetti...just top with your usual spaghetti sauce  :)

The squash I think is bland ......but then so is spaghettie.....till you put the sauce on :D

Never grown these myself, but just bought them to try this year  "40 seeds for 99p" from "Premier Seeds Direct".  First order from this seller and my first on eBay for seeds, but lots of people re-assured me they were worth a go and trustworthy (see other thread)
