Bit stumped I have an new bigger greenhouse thanks to freecycle,and have to take my old cedar wood one down to make room, so what to do with the old one ?

Take it down the lottie (which may be vary difficult) and turn into a shed, cut it down and make into cold frames for melons etc, or what ? it's a little rotten in places so I'm not sure if it would be suitable for freecycling.

i had to mix n match to get a greenhouse up over Christmas - and i have lots of glass and ali strips left over

i am going to make some cold frames and i'm going to use the long lengths of ali and build a long narrow frame - to be used as a cloche / cloche-cover for down the lottie

i can upend my old style tent cloches to create side protection then lay the long ali frame over the top - then i'll fit the glass (i'm not strong enough to lift it otherwise  :roll: hey presto - a cloche that fits 2 or 3 rows of veggies - at full length of row

i'm also going to build a hot house down the lottie - but i am using secondary glazing panels for that - and some heavy plastic sheets that i found on freecycle

the remainder of the glass will be used for shelves etc in the greenhouse, cloches and spares for gh if required

if yours is cedar though richy - would you be able to use the panels as they are - or would you have to break them up ?

Thought about puting the circular saw across them to make em the right size rather than breaking right down.

I'd really like to use it down the lottie as a shed but  it come's down in BIG bits. So a large cold frame or two sounds like my next best option be good for butternut squash and melons etc.
