I have my first broody on eggs and wondered how it works with the 21 days? do they only start to cook when the hend warms them up? I bought mine off the internet and know they were only 24hrs old when posted so if I got them 1 day later do I include that in the 21 days or just count from when they went until the hen? Confused!!

You're supposed to rest them for a day (pointy side down) and then put them under the hen and then count for 21 days + 1 (I think) but someone (Joyfull?) will be along soon to tell you the right way to do it. :D

I started counting from when Bianca started sitting on the eggs. As I understand it they can start hatching any time from 19 days for a bantam. I can't wait! I hope I get some little ones this time. Last time the broody abandoned the eggs :( .
This time I made sure that the house was cleaned and sprayed against redmite and I sprayed Bianca with anti-mite spray.
Good Luck with yours, Newbie :)
