price varies according to the level of subsidy by your council. My niece would have had to pay £18 but I only had to pay £8. So I bought it and lugged over the border

The cheapest I can buy them (trade) from a wharehouse is £22 so these beep beep councils buying them in bulk and selling them cheap make me a bit mad.  Nearlly as bad as the multi's but don't let me go there after a trip to our new T***o superstore last night.

but surely the councils are encouraging more people to recyle by being able to afford a compast bin.

i know i wouldnt have paid the £40 in the stores for one, but £10 for a 330ltr from the council and im now composting.

I got most of mine for £6 but they've gone up to £8 which is still good value

I got one free off Freecycle, got one from my niece who got hers free from the council and one from my nephew who doesn't use his.
I have loads of em  8)
