Miniature Iris

All my miniature irises are in full bloom just now - I'm sure they didn't come out till April last year. Is this really too early for them, does anyone know? It just doesn't seem right!

I hven't got any planted in my garden, but in my parents garden they're in full bloom and looking gorgeous! Jude.

they should be out now - remember last year everything was really late cos of the prolonged snow and cold spell

mine are out, or where until my 3yr old got loose and decided to pick some flowers.....

Mine out in flower too & have been for a week or two. I think this is the right time of the year for the miniature (reticulata) iris to flower as against the 'full size' iris.

My book states: Iris reticulata - flowering time February-March.
Xiphium irises - flowering time June-July.
