How does compost accelerator work and is it worth using ??

No, not really. You can use pee on it, comfrey leaves, nettles for the same purpose. Good stir now and then and keep it damp, and the bin in full sun if poss

Garota is fine if you only have a small compost heap ie in a composter bin and suchlike, mostly back gardens etc... If you have a big "bin" on your allotment then its less likely it will make a difference.  Bigger heaps = quicker compost if you get my drift....  also there is a bit of a nack in getting it right so dont be put off if you dont succeed in getting want you want...

We put half a dozen bags of fresh stable manure on our compost heap while it was about a foot and a half high.

When I turned it all around to shift it all into a new spot, the stable manure was going nicely, but the other stuff, like veg peelings etc had all totally vanished, and were completely composted!

That's the power of horse pee no doubt...
