Cropping well only one casualty chopped off with hoe.

Have eaten leaves raw in salad .
Leaves and flowers raw in egg sandwich.
Sweated with an onion  mixed with scramble egg on toast.

steamed side veg tomorrow

Its green about 3ft high with flowers spikes and leaves which are edible like a broccoli plant in spring eat leaves from may and flowers from now. I have a photo but struggling to upload. ;)

So it says on my packet.  You gather them just before you see the petals.  Really wish I hadn't left it too late to plant mine this year::)

Its other name is Aztec Broccoli so you eat the flower spears like PSB  :)  Did not make it to the plot today so will get up there tomorrow to see if there is anything to harvest.

Mine is a bit stunted because of the tough growing conditions earlier on, but it is supposed to make a 4 foot high bush covered in edible flower spears. Full report of eating qualities follows  ;)

yes that's what mine look like new shoot. We eat flowers, brocoli, cauliflower ect what's the difference!

Good point Rachel  :)

I was quite impressed with my weeds.  Stir fried with chicken it was very nice.  Keeps a texture as promised and gives that nice green veg taste to a stir fry like the oriental greens and a lot less faff to grow as seems not to interest slugs or other pests  :)

Going to steam next lot and eat as side veg  :)
