I advise anyone who fancies jam making to buy a jam thermometer...........it takes all the guesswork out of it  ;)

Got one a couple of years ago, been a real god-send, wouldn't be without it.

They're not expensive, about 3 quid upwards on flea-bay.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

If you want cheap blackberries, they're only £7.47 a kilo in Tesc*.

Bargain.



.......and I'll bet there are lazy so and so's who will buy them. >:(

Funny thing is that one of the best blackberrying spots is right by T's carpark by the canal  :lol: :lol: :lol:

Following all these replies I just come back with more blackberries and just ordered Val's book Easy Jams and Chutneys I've got the bug now

just been around to look at the blackberries here and there are some lovley bushes on the walk we take the dog on so early jam for me just finished my last jar.
