I've been very happy with my cube this year but I noticed the poo trays were sopping wet today but the rungs above are dry. The water is coming in the corner. There is also a bit of water getting in the nest box.
Although I'm not that concerned as the birds are dry enough, I wondered if anyone else had this problem?
I noticed it last Winter on a much smaller scale and we had ice under the poo trays but this is much worse.
Is it these awful gales forcing rain in through the ventilation gaps?

Hi Vietta, I think it is probably that the wind is driving the rain more horizontal than usual.  I've got an eglu borrowed from Joyfull, but haven't noticed anything yet, but I don't have any experience of the cubes but they are high off the ground aren't they?  So perhaps more susceptible to horizontal winds??

I get water in on one side of my cube, it is only a little though and just when we have extreme rain. You could contact omlet and ask them to send you some replacement rubber sticker which go on the two sides and act as rain channels, they perish easily, this improved things for me and they were free.

No, you ring them as they need to know these things so they can iron out any design flaws

My Eglu is fine and no water should blow in at all
