Anyone got an idea for keeping chickens out but kitchen and patio doors open in this lovely weather?

Would a bead curtain work?

Deer netting works great.  Too flimsy at the top for them to hop to the top of it and makes a great barrier.  Or maybe one of those hanging magnetic screen curtains that keep out bugs?

They would push through a bead curtain. Difficult one other than fencing them in or out!

Stairgate for the door and maybe just open patio door enough to use one there as well.

Mine come into the conservatory/utility room but they know not to enter the kitchen and whilst they will test my resolve I just shoo them back, when in the kitchen making a drink.

I am usually working in the utility room and whilst I am in there they don't bother exploring. I think they just like company  

Should I go down the garden with a garden fork or spade in my hands then I have their undivided attention
