Violas ?

These plants in two tall containers have flowered since last autumn, and still are.  From a distance they look great, but close to, they are leggy, and the leggy stalks have gone brown.  I need the containers now for other plants.     Can I keep these pretty little flowers, and if so how ?       Mrs Bouqet

Cut of the flower stalks and re pot, they should come back again into flower

I have just done that with my violas.  They got a pretty severe cut back and repotted together in larger pots with some fertiliser in the compost.  They are going to sit in a partly shady part of the garden over summer, so should come back and flower for a few more months.
