Any Tips

The bottom of my allotment is shaded by big conifers which also drains the soil of all moisture. Any tips on what I could grow in this area?
Cheers

Hi Stu and welcome to the site  :)

Are you looking to grow ornamental plants or veg in this area?  If it is veg, one of the mods can move your post to Grow Your Own so the veg growers can have a think.  If its flowers, this is the best place to ask   :)

Getting anything going under conifer trees like that is tough, but some big tubs or a raised bed may be the answer.

It would also help with plant advice if you could put your location into your profile  :)

I have a large sycamore tree and have successfully grown plants under it. If you are wanting flowering plants, I have a few suggestions; as for veg - the idea of raised beds and pots might be best. Let us know, anyway. As you have conifers, I suspect your soil may be a bit acidic, so probably not best for veg.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
