strawberries in hanging baskets

This year i have put some strawberry's in hanging baskets to see how they grow, well they all are fine with some fruit and some have put out runners.
Now the runners i have cut off but was wondering, how would i propagate from these runners from a basket?
I can't work it out, must be a tricky one...

I just cut runners off anf plant. I never lose more than a couple

- or peg the runner into a small plant pot as you do normally and then stand the pot in the hanging basket. Cut off and transplant when the roots have formed on the new plant.
