Post by: jimallotment on April 04, 2016, 16:27
Hello everyone,
I am putting shading in the greenhouse, can I use debris netting as an alternative to the normal netting.

Thats what i and most others on our site use. Better IMO to put it on the outside though

If you put it on the outside it prevents all the heat entering the greenhouse. If you put it on the inside the heat still gets through.

It also prevents you having to dissuade your plants from growing through it and then possibly mullering the netting at the end of the season when you have to untangle it all!
I also find it easier to remove from the outside for cleaning, as its essentially just draped over and weighted/cable tied/pegged down. I had netting inside for the 1st year, but discovered it was a PITA and so its been on the outside since.
