Title: Good value gear?
Post by: greenasgrass on February 20, 2012, 19:26
Some decent looking offers in Aldi this thursday for gardeners and allotmenteers alike. I particularly like the propagator sets (http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/special_buys3_23435.htm). You get three of each seed tray, module tray insert that fits snugly inside the tray, and shatterproof lids for £3.99. I bought and used some of these last year in my greenhouse at home and they are still in great nick (currently chitting spuds in the module inserts).

I think I will also be coming away with some of the weed control fabric and fleece which also looks ok pricewise (although im struggling to make out the size of the sheets )

It looks just like the plastic trays the supermarkets use for their produce.     Now there is an idea.   ;)   Cheers,     Tony.

I thought their capillary matting a bit steep at 4.99 fro 2m x 0.6 but after some googling you only get it for about £2/m if you buy 60m rolls so it's not bad at all. Am going to pick up some if they've got any left
