I'm gardening in France (Brittany) and I have a lot of problems with flea beetle, especially on rocket and broccoli plants. I understand that if I put lime on the soil now it will stop the larvae developing. Does anyone have any more information about this?

Welcome to the site  :D

I must say I've not heard of that before.  I'd caution against liming just for flea beetle as overliming can affect how plants generally grow.

The RHS advice doesn't mention liming either.

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

My father advises me to just that to protect developing brassicas from flea-beetle.

It seems to work.  ;) I guess by the time you reach 95 you have picked up quite a few useful tips.  :)
