hi, i am really new to chicken keeping have just got 5 hybrid chicks and i cant find out anywhere roughly how long they live for, thanks

Think it's about 4/5 years? Because they are bred to lay.
Pure breeds live longer 'cos they don't lay as often.
Laying wears them out, in a nutshell.
Someone will (loudly) correct me if I'm totally wrong
