Thanks all. Some grass is just grass. Some has weeds. Not much other waste init. It's couch grass. A friend said I should put it in blk bin bags and tie it up for two weeks. This should sweat it and it should rot away. What do you think? Only half done. 2.5 tonnes waste. Eeek

Couch grass will, in my opinion need more than 2 weeks to cause it to rot and die. There are 4 alternatives, drown it in water for several weeks/months,  leave it bagged in the dark for months, or leave it on the surface to dry in the sun for a few weeks. You can then put it on the compost. The 4th option is as I've said before take it to the tip. Personally I'd go for taking it to the tip as space is precious on the plot and I don't want the hassle of trying to manage a very invasive grass. If you get it wrong you would be back to square one as it would regrow if incorrectly dealt with.
I was put on this earth to accomplish a certain number of things; right now I am so far behind I will never die.

Cubic meter of soil with average moisture content weighs 1750 kg, so this runs out at 2 tonnes near enough.

Sorry if I sound daft. Is it 1.15 cm per bed? How many bags of 25 l soil would that be?

1.15 m3 per bed.

There are 1000 litres in a cubic metre, so this is 1150 litres per bed & that's 46 x 25 litre bags - quite a lot!
