Hi, all.
  I wonder if anyone can give me a bit of info.
 I want to get some Trac grip rear tyres for my Westwood garden tractor.
The size is 18x8.50-8. This size seems to be hard to come by and quite expensive. I've found a couple of firms who sell 18x9.50-8 at a very good price. My problem is that my tractor is in France and I'm not , so I can't measure the clearance between the tyre and the body to see if this size would fit.
If any kind soul who has one or could find out the clearance I would be eternally grateful.           Best Regards,             Ian

hey ho,
when you say trac grip, do you mean the agricultural pattern? or turf saver tyres like the ones fitted from new?
turf savers would be around£50 in 4ply ( it's not worth getting 2ply) +vat


agri patterns are going to be more expensive, but I could make a couple of phone calls to find out what is availiable if you like.

Hi Graham, thanks for your reply and kind offer. The tyres I want are the chevron pattern like on proper tractors, I found a place down in Cornwall on E-bay who have the 18x9.50-8 size fir about £32.00 in vat. I think they are Chinese, Kenda or Denso brand. I have used these cheap tyres before on my trailer - been to France and back a couple of times with no trouble. I only want them for occasional use in muddy conditions so I think they would be fine providing they will fit without fouling the body.
As they are only an inch wider than the originals I would think they would be OK, but I would just like confirmation before I go ahead and get them.
