I planted some broadbeans in October and they were going great guns, then came the snow and the plants look extremely sad  Are they dead or will they come back to life or am i being totally stupid???

hmmm they will probably pick up as the soil gets warmer, have you got any spare seeds cos you can plant some more now, just as a back up plan in case they dont make it. i always sow broad beans around this time undercover!

Mae, if the stems are black at th ebase then the plant probably won't recover.

Plenty of time to sow more though.

Once the soil is warm enough you can sow direct in the soil
