Hi matthew, I've grown sweet corn swift F1 this year, it's my first year of sweet corn so am unsure what to expect.  I started them off in pots and planted them out in May, 20 out of 24 germinated, and 19 out of the 20 took to planting out, even those that went a bit wobbly I propped up with soil and they got a grip eventually.  The back of Mr F's seeds say start in pots and then other says do not disturb the roots, so I planted them as they were into looser soil, but did not tease the roots out.
They are now about 4 feet tall, and each have at least 2 cobs.
Good Luck.

yep.
Cobra: gives loads of beans, although the weather is holding them up this year but I only grow this one.
Beetroot: easy grown but I have now found Alto (cylindrical) better and forms the root quicker than globe type.
Leek:tried it and wasnt bad, but found mussleborough more consistent.
Sweet: not tried swift. grow ambrosia, bi colour and sweet.
Radish: Grow them all but in buckets in the greenhouse as they dont seem to get hit by the CRfly.

I grow CFB Cobra  on a trellis along with some runners. Personally I prefer the CFBs.

I also grow the Cilantro. A nice herb and a great last minute addition to curries.
Ah well ! There is always next year !
