I've got a few potato plants growing in those bag thingy that i started in the green house and are now on the patio i've got a few flowers on the plants and i wondered when to pull them for a good crop of new potatoes?!?!

I've tried looking down the side of the bags but it too tight to see anything!
1 x hubby
2 x daughters
3 x chickens
1 x bunny
6 x african snails  . . . . . and counting.

Hi there mine are doing the same thing with my tatties in a growbag. The one's  im going a disused bin aren't showing yet :(

Hopefully someone will along who know much about it. What i'm going to do is wait another week and and take a look at them. I'll let you know what comes of it.

if the foliage is about 18 inch high then you can see if they have any spuds ready otherwise water n feed them a little potash in the water once a week .. end june pull them :wink:

Thanks Muntjac think i've got a few more weeks to go. Think mine are 7/ 9inches. Can't wait to try them  :D

Is potash necessary? Never heard of it before and should i use regually on anything?:oops:

Nitrogen for leaves, phosphorous for flowers/fruit and potash for roots, I think. (NPK) Some one correct me or confirm please. :)
I demand the right to buy seed of varieties that are not "distinct, uniform and stable".
