my maincrop seed potatoes have chits about 1 to cm long, they have been chitting away in an unheated bedroom since t and m sent in in january.  i am concerned that the tubers are beginning to look shrivelled up and dry although the chits are green and healthy.

my question is are they ok to be left a few more weeks before planting, or should i plant them sooner rather than later.  thanks for taking the time to read this.

It's quite normal for seed spuds to shrivel. You've got healthy chits, so don't worry.

All being well I'll be planting in about 2 weeks.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

just give them a light spray of water not enough to drown them just slightly damp
you dont want them to rot so carful spray.
I'll beat this heavy clay yet. now almost there works well now
