I'd get them in fairly soon, but it's not too late now
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

As Yorkie commented on 8th May get them in soon,  they are a main crop, the shorter the time they have in the ground the fewer or smaller potatoes you will get back & there is more chance of blight the later they are growing most years.

Ground is very wet would I be okay to plant my potatoes because days are slipping by quick and this weather ain’t thanks

Seed potatoes aren't something you can keep until next year in the hope of getting more favourable growing conditions, so you may as well plant them anyway and hope for the best.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!
