Leeks
« on: April 04, 2013, 13:20 »
Hi, I have leeks in the greenhouse that have just germinated. Yesterday the sun was on the greenhouse all day and the temperature in there was 20degrees. Should I put the leeks in the cold frame or leave them in the greenhouse until they are larger. Thanks. Judith

Although the days are warm, nights are still cold, if they are just germinating I'd leave em inside. Leeks are fairly hardy but there is no mad rush to harden them off if you have room inside.

I have about 200 in the GH and they germinated last month. I too have had temp's of 20 degrees and they are loving it, just watch they don't dry out.
