I'm allowed one daft question a day, and this is it!  I've a small crop of beetroot, some are almost sitting on top of the soil, is this normal? I'm wondering if I ought to have  earthed them up like potatoes. Or are they they really fat little red triffids, getting reddy to march?  Jean
