Mine is only just showing the teensiest beginnings of flower buds, it's from the same packet as last years' which was about 5 or 6 weeks earlier. No idea why. Just hoping I'm going to get something off it before it's time to re-sow for next year!

Out of interest how tall does your psb grow? I think mine turned giant this year which made them bend over and grow 'along....'

Mine got to about 3ft. I forgot to stake them, so some fell over and were lying on the ground. They sent up some extra shoots too. Which were very tasty.  :)

Hmm.. Maybe not staking early on was the problem. Plants were about 2 ft high but then went along for another 2ft! Mutant psb hah

mine were staked with old fence palings, some broke in the gales and I had to re-stake  it only took them a week to bend up towards the light from lying on the ground. Looked really odd when I had to re-stake!

Yep - exactly what mine did - they were an 's' shape. I will definitely stake them this year

No staking any poor sick birds - that's just cruel!

At last! Have gone from virtually nothing to a decent picking in a week, and plenty more on the way, so don't give up hope  :)
