Would you say it's too early to sow beetroot seed outside?

Mine went in this morning.  Don't forget that beetroot seeds are actually a cluster of seeds.

mine planted 2 weeks ago- one type boltardy I think has it's leaves out, choggia just uncurling.  Straight in the ground, under fleece- don't forget the slug pellets!  Dug 20 out from under there yesterday....and thats with pellets.
