Way back in June Sue anne and I went over to GrannieAnnies to pick up a few more point of lay chooks,  on the way we  called in to see Joyfulls chicken setup,   Sueanne was quite taken with Joys Lavender Araucanas.....when we left Joy to carry on to GrannieAnnies, Sueanne was all smiles clutching a gift from Joy of three hopefully fertile Araucana  eggs.
So it was off to GrannieAnnies, pick up the point of lays and then back home to get the new arrivals settled before dark.
Three weeks later two of the Aracauna eggs hatched, one was a dud.....



As time went on it became clear the hatch was 50/50....one him and one her, now known as  “ Fred and Floss



today five months after hatching Floss has  presented Sueanne with the first blue egg.



The star of the day.

Yeah what a lovely Christmas present, must admit Fred is a very handsome chap and yes Floss is most certainly the star of the day.
