Thanks, Jaydig! Wasn't sure whether to attempt freezing the strawbs as I thought they might go mushy, but I guess if I add them to warm/cooked desserts that won't matter!
I don't really look like my avatar.

Today - lots of broad beans and peas, the first handful of French beans (Cupidon - yummy), all my garlic (Germidour - not a great crop, smallish bulbs, but passable), courgettes, baby Sunbeam squash (bought as a pattypan from Sarah Raven but turns out to be long and stripey!), baby carrots, dill, coriander, mixed salad leaves, strawberries and raspberries. And pulled out the last of the baby turnips as they now taste disgusting and woody.

2 big overflowing baskets of Wikitiem broad beans. Left a few on the plants for next years seed stock.           More courgettes,  3 varietes of tomatoes, and lifted the remaining onions which were Stuttgarter giant and Hytech.

Too many French beans and Sharpe's Express potatoes (note to self - restraint next year!  ::))  My 7 year old helper gave some of each to our lovely plot neighbours  :). Also a big bunch of flowers and some of the drying shallots for roasting tomorrow  :D

Yesterday picked piles of french, hunter (helda) and runner beans
Turnips, some IK potatoes and a scraping of the soil for some Desiree from the maincrop plot.
Picked some of the last few broad beans

Today, picked more runner beans, sweet peas, lettuce, beetroot and cucumber.
Curly Kale, spinach and chard.
Gooseberries
Piles of raspberries (from my 99p store plants, great buy)
The first tomatoes, a few Golden Pearl.

Cucumbers slowed right down, tomatoes starting to ripen, harvesting broad beans - loads of them, same with raspberries.
No runner beans yet, French beans struggling, mainly due to poor weather.
We come from the earth, we return to the earth, and in between we garden.
